Our illustrator, Nicole Poulsom was born and raised in Durban, South Africa, the eldest of two, she was raised in a very animal-friendly home and always had some form of pet.

Nicole always loved drawing and painting but never had the confidence to use her talents until now. Now living in the UK, Nicole has fallen in love with British wildlife, she is very happy to be included in this amazing project about Itchybald Scratchet and his friends.

“It is a wonderful thought that people reading the book will enjoy the characters created by the (Author). I hope my interpretation of Itchy and his friends enhances the story and the enjoyment of reading about their adventures.

I am still enjoying the project, which is now on (Book 6)! It has stretched my imagination so much and I have enjoyed drawing all the different characters Sue has created”.

Illustrator Aziz Khan
of Madam Mous-Elle 

Our illustrator, Aziz Khan was born in 1953 and brought up in Tanzania, East Africa, and has always loved photography and painting the abundant wildlife there.

After moving to the UK, Aziz graduated from the University of Coventry with a BA in Graphic Design/Illustration, with an emphasis on Illustration.

He worked in publishing from 1977 to 1997 onwards, freelancing for Dorling Kindersley, QED Publishing, Readers Digest and Illustrated London to name a few.

After his years in London, he moved to a beautiful part of Devon with his family. He now specialises in “Natural History” and people portraits using oils, acrylic and water colours.

​He said “I have thoroughly enjoyed illustrating Madam Mous-Elle Book and her friends and family, including the not so friendly characters too! I am grateful to have been given the chance to be a part of this new and exciting project”.
